Babson Park, Mass. – Clark University junior pitcher Andrew LeBlanc (Farmington, Conn.) has been named to the New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) baseball all-conference second-team it was announced on Thursday afternoon following a vote of the league's seven head coaches.
LeBlanc was one of the Cougars' bright spots during an 8-26 campaign. He went 5-5 overall with a 3.21 earned run average and finishing as the conference leader in strikeouts (67).
He led opponents to a .279 batting average, tossing four complete games and had nearly a 3-to-1 strikeout to walk ratio.
Twice during the season, LeBlanc was named the league's pitcher of the week including after a three game stretch in which he had 31 strikeouts and just four walks.
In 28 career appearances, LeBlanc is 11-12 with a 3.98 ERA and a 2-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio (134-to-67).
