LeBlanc Named Worcester Area First-Team All-Star

Worcester, Mass. – Clark junior hurler Andrew LeBlanc (Farmington, Conn.) has been named to the second annual Worcester Area Baseball All-Star team it was announced late last week following a vote of the sports information directors of the ten colleges and universities in the Worcester area footprint.

LeBlanc, who earned second-team honors in 2011, picks up first-team honors this season following a campaign in which he went 5-5 overall with a 3.21 earned run average and finishing as the conference leader in strikeouts (67).

He led opponents to a .279 batting average, tossing four complete games and had nearly a 3-to-1 strikeout to walk ratio.

Twice during the season, LeBlanc was named the league's pitcher of the week including after a three game stretch in which he had 31 strikeouts and just four walks.

In 28 career appearances, LeBlanc is 11-12 with a 3.98 ERA and a 2-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio (134-to-67).
