Mandracchia Grabs NEWMAC Offensive Award

Boston, Mass. – For the second time in three weeks and the third time in his career, Clark University junior attack Will Mandracchia (Melrose, Mass.) has been named the New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) lacrosse offensive player of the week it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

The award for Mandracchia comes following a nine point week in which he helped lead the Scarlet and White to a perfect 3-0 record.

In a 10-6 win over DeSales, he finished with a goal and an assist and then in a 10-7 triumph over Emmanuel, he racked up a goal and two more helpers.

Finally, in the trip finale, Mandracchia ended with three goals and an assist win the 6-4 win over Saint John Fisher.

Through the first six games of the season, Mandracchia leads the NEWMAC in points (20) and assists (11). Overall, he is riding an 11-game point scored streak dating back to last season.

Mandracchia and the Cougars will return to action on Saturday when they host Gordon College under the lights at 7:00 p.m.
