Nick Johnson earned his fourth NEWMAC All-Conference honor with his second first-team selection in 2017.

Boston, Mass. – Nick Johnson (Amherst, Mass.), the all-time leading scorer in school history, etched another pretty impressive accolade next to his name on Tuesday afternoon. The senior attackman was named New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) First-Team All-Conference it was announced by the league office.

That marks the fourth time he has been selected to the postseason all-star team – making him just the fourth male student-athlete in school history to earn that distinction.

He joins men's basketball legends Mark Alexander (2006-10), Dave McNamara (2001-04) and men's swimmer Ryan Garr (2009-12) as the only honorees to earn the honor in each of their four seasons.

2017 was a bounce back season for Johnson, who returned to the fold after missing the final four games of the 2016 season with an injury. He finished the year ranked second in the league in assists (33) – 21 of which came against league competition.

Johnson had several standout performances, including a six assist outing in a win over Wheaton where he became the school's all-time leading scorer. He also doled out six assists in a dramatic win over MIT and then dished out seven more in Senior Day win over Emerson.

His best effort of the year, however, might have been the six-goal, two-assist showing in a NEWMAC Semifinal win over MIT.

The school-record holder in points in a season (70), assists in a season (42), Johnson is also the all-time leader in assists (122) and points (217) and ranks sixth in goals scored (95).
