Boston, Mass. – Matthew Sullivan (Brunswick, Maine) has been named New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Second-Team All-Conference as a short stick defender it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

The award for Sullivan comes following a stellar senior campaign in which he helped lead the Cougars to a school record 13 wins and a berth in the program's first-ever conference title game.

A captain who has played in a school-record 63 career contests, Sullivan in a three-time NEWMAC Academic All-Conference selection, who helped lead a defense that gave up the third fewest goals in the league this year and allowed just 8.22 goals per game – the second fewest in the conference.

Individually, Sullivan scored a goal in the regular season loss to Springfield and had an assist on a Brandon King goal in the win at Babson.
