Babson Park, Mass. – Clark University juniors Trevor Hendry (Waterford, Conn.) and Kenny Howard (Longmeadow, Mass.) were both named to the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men’s soccer second-team it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
For Hendry it marks the first all-conference accolade he has received in his career, while Howard earned first-team honors in 2009.
The Cougars finished their 2010 season at 5-9-2 – two points outside of the final postseason tournament spot.
Hendry, who has started all 49 games he has appeared in for Clark, helped anchor a defense that allowed 1.76 goals per game. He scored his lone goal of the season in the 3-2 loss to Framingham State back on October 27.
Howard, meanwhile, started all 16 games for Clark and becomes just the fourth men’s soccer player in school history to earn multiple all-conference accolades.
