Rollinger, Goodstein To Compete At ITA Regionals

Williamstown, Mass. – Clark University junior Harris Rollinger (Lexington, Mass.) and freshman Zack Goodstein (Columbus, Ohio) have been selected to participate in the USTA/ITA Division III Men's New England Regional Tennis Championships slated for this weekend.

Rollinger, who will be competing for a second consecutive season, will face a familiar foe in his singles draw on Friday when he squares off against Coast Guard's Blake Mauer.

The duo has never met head-to-head, but they have faced each other in doubles action, with Mauer and teammate Chris Hall topping Rollinger and Dan Hall (Sutton, Mass.), 8-5 in the final match of last season.

For Goodstein, this will mark his first action as a collegiate player and he will face Bates College's Eric Ruta.

The duo will then team up to face the host Williams College's Will Petrie and Kevin Shallcross in doubles action.

The ITA Regional Championships, currently sponsored by the USTA, date back to 1981 and for nearly two decades were also known as the Rolex Regional Championships.

The USTA/ITA Regional Championships feature the top men's and women's players from each of the ITA's regions. All in all, 8,000 varsity tennis players from 600 schools will participate in the USTA/ITA Regional Championships.
