Worcester, Mass. – Just a few months removed from a run to the conference tournament semifinals, Clark University women's basketball head coach Pat Glispin has announced the six incoming student-athletes that will comprise the Class of 2021.

"I am thrilled with the incoming class," said Glispin, who will enter her 33rd season at the helm of the Cougar program this season. "They bring a strong passion for basketball and their enthusiasm, talent, and versatility will be huge additions to the program."

Included in the class are Hannah Favaloro (Blackstone, Mass.), Jamad Fiin (Boston, Mass.), Ashley Halkowicz (Shelton, Conn.), Natasia Maniatis (Watertown, Mass.), Idalis Miranda (Naugatuck, Conn.) and Sahra Nur (Cambridge, Mass.).

In addition to the six newcomers, Clark returns three of their top four scorers from a season ago, including lead guard Sam O'Gara (Worcester, Mass.), second-team all-conference selection Ogechi Ezemma (Hope Valley, R.I.) and sharp-shooting Haley Wilder (Rindge, N.H.).

Clark is coming off of a 2016-17 campaign that saw them finish 14-13 overall and advance to the NEWMAC semifinals for the first time since 2005-06.

The Cougars will open the 2017-18 season on Wednesday, November 15 at Fitchburg State against the Falcons.

Hannah Favaloro / Freshman / Forward / 5-11 / Blackstone, Massachusetts / Douglas

  • Helped lead Douglas to District Finals in junior and senior seasons.
  • Averaged 12.5 points per game as a senior in 2016-17.
  • Named Dual Valley Conference First-Team All-Star as a junior and senior. 
  • Three-time Dual Valley Conference All-Star in softball.
  • Four year soccer letterwinner, helping Douglas to District Championship in 2014.
  • Spent one year at Blackstone-Millville Regional.

Jamad Fiin / Freshman / Guard / 5-7 / Boston, Massachusetts / Bostin Latin

  • Four-year letterwinner at Boston Latin.
  • Senior captain.

Ashley Halkowicz / Freshman / Forward / 5-8 / Shelton, Conn. / Lauralton Hall

  • Four-year letterwinner at Lauralton Hall in Milford, Conn.
  • Also played two seasons of volleyball.

Natasia Maniatis / Freshman / Guard / 5-5 / Watertown, Mass. / Arlington Catholic

  • Four-year letterwinner, earning three at Arlington Catholic and one at Watertown.
  • Helped Arlington Catholic reach Division II state title game as a senior.
  • Also played two seasons of volleyball.

Idalis Miranda / Freshman / Guard / 5-2 / Naugatuck, Conn. / Holy Cross

  • Four-year letterwinner at Holy Cross High in Waterbury, Conn.
  • Led team to Naugatuck Valley League titles in junior (2016) and senior (2017) seasons.
  • Helped lead team to Class L state title game as a senior.
  • Named All-NVL, All-Area and All-State by Waterbury Republican.
  • Scored 1,384 career points.

Sahra Nur / Freshman / Forward / 6-1 / Cambridge, Mass. / Rindge & Latin

  • Three-year letterwinner at Rindge & Latin in Cambridge, Mass.
  • Helped lead team to District First Round three times.
  • Also a member of the crew team for one season.
