Women's Swimming and Diving Rallies to Victory Over UMass Dartmouth

Worcester, Mass.--The Clark University women's swimming and diving team defeated the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth, 120-97, on Saturday afternoon at the Kneller Center Pool.

First year Alison Falder (New Milford, Conn.) claimed a first place finish in the 1000 yard freestyle in a time of 11:40.91. Senior Charlotte Gray (Sandy Hook, Conn.) finished the 200 yard freestyle in 2:13.07 for the second place spot. Junior Amelia Muratori (Southbury, Conn.) finished in the top spot in the 50 yard freestyle touching in 26.16 and the 100 yard freestyle with a 59.08 finish.

Senior Jenna Harrison-Peters (Silver Spring, Md.) set a personal best time in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:30.74 to claim second place.

Muratori and freshmen Allison Dubick (Cornwall, N.Y.), Katy Flesher (Waukegan, Ill.) and Elizabeth Cownie (Concord, Mass.) swam the women's 200 yard freestyle relay and earned Clark first place in 1:48.89.

The women trailed through the first three events of the day but gained the lead in the 50 yard freestyle with Muratori's first-place finish.

Clark hosts Wheaton College and Mount Holyoke in NEWMAC action on Thursday, January 11th at 1:00 p.m. UMass Darmouth takes on Wheaton and WPI at Wheaton on January 17th at 6:30 p.m.
