Women's Swimming and Diving Edged by Trinity

Hartford, Conn.--The Clark University women's swimming and diving team was edged by the Bantams of Trinity College in a non-conference meet on Friday evening, 183-107, at Trinity Natatorium.

Freshman Alison Falder (New Milford, Conn.) placed third overall in the women's 200 yard Freestyle with a time of 2:10.10 and took second place in the 500 yard Freestyle clocking in at 5:41.13. Freshman Allison Dubick (Cornwall, N.Y.) finished just behind first and second place Trinity swimmers in the 50 yard Backstroke to take third place in 31.55 and later earned second place in the 100 yard backstroke in 1:09.72. Mira Siewert (Westbrook, Conn.) earned second place in the 50 yard Breaststroke touching the wall in 35.66. Amelia Muratori (Southbury, Conn.) and Charlotte Gray (Sandy Hook, Conn.) finished back to back in the 100 yard Freestyle to earn Clark second and third place in the event.

Junior Quinn Mitchell (West Harford, Conn.) led the way in the 50 yard Butterfly as she took first place overall and swam the event in 27.48.

The Cougars took first, second, and third place in the 200 yard IM. Freshman Katy Flesher (Waukegan, Ill.) led the event with a time of 2:37.87 while freshman Olivia Winters (Maplewood, N.J.) and junior Jacie Carson (Eugene, Ore.) finished behind her in 2:40.50 an 2:42.21 respectively.

Clark's 200 yard Freestyle Relay teams took first and second place. Dubick, Mitchell, Gray, and Muratori compiled the first place relay that finished in a time of 1:47.18.

Clark is back home on Wednesday, January 24th when they host city and New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference rival, WPI, at 6:30 p.m.
