• Women's Swimming and Diving Takes Ninth Place in NEWMAC Championship

    Cambridge, Mass.--The Clark University women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the 2018 season at the NEWMAC Championship on Sunday. MIT accumulated 1314 pointed which was 312 ahead of second place Wheaton College. Behind MIT and Wheaton was Springfield in third (795.5 points), WPI in fourth (721), Coast Guard in fifth (575.5), Wellesley in sixth (449), Smith in seventh (261), Mount Holyoke in eighth (242), Clark in ninth (230) and Babson in tenth (203). The MIT women's swimming and diving team won its eighth straight New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship.

The NEWMAC women's swimming and diving student-athletes totaled 77 honorees this year.

Prior to the meet Clark recognized three seniors competing in their final home meet of their careers: Steven Castiglione (North Haven, Conn.), Charlotte Gray (Sandy Hook, Conn.) and Jenna Harrison-Peters (Silver Spring, Md.).

The Cougars competed alongside 12 other institutions: Assumption College, Bentley, Brandeis, Bryant University, Babson College, Merrimack College, Stevens Institute of Technology, The College of Saint Rose, Rowan University, Roger Williams University, Southern Connecticut State University, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute of Technology. Rowan University took the top team score of the weekend finishing with 4602 points.
