Women's Cross Country Places 13th at James Earley Invitational

WESTFIELD, MASS.--The Clark University Women's Cross Country team placed 13th out of 33 at the James Earley Invitational in Westfield, Mass. on Saturday morning.

Senior Kristen Glennie (Standish, Maine) led the way for the Cougars placing 27th overall (27/257) finishing the 5K in a time of 19:34.86. Sophomore Nicolina Braccio (Nashua, N.H.) was the next to finish for Clark crossing the finish line at 19:55.15. Liza French (Middleborough, Mass.) (20:07.46), Maddy Doyle (South Berwick, Maine) (20:51.98), Camille Bales (Portland, Ore.) (21:33.70), Emily Monahan-Morang (Freeport, Maine) (21:36.03), Diana Argiles-Castillo (San Jose, Costa Rica) (22:08,19) and Megan McIntyre (Beaverton, Ore.) (22:23.26) rounded out the results for the Cougars.

In the women's "Blue" junior varsity race freshman Tereza Lopez (Springfield, Mass.) finished in a time of 24:37.93 and placed 107th/141 to lead Clark. Lucy Zachau (Freeport, Maine) (25:19.95), Ana Friberg (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) (25:23.78) and Sierra Cameron (Westbrook, Maine) (25:27.61) rounded out the runners for Clark in the second race.

The Cougars compete in the Gettysburg Invitational in Gettysburg, Penn. on Saturday, Oct. 14th at 10:30 a.m. to finish out the regular season.
