Worcester, Mass.—The Clark University Athletic Department has announced the 2018 Fall Game Schedules. Follow the links below for the individual program schedules:
The season kicks off on Friday, August 31st when men's soccer travels to Castleton State and field hockey travels to Simmons College. The following day, Saturday, September 1st women's soccer and volleyball kick off their seasons. After making an appearance in the 2017 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Quarterfinal game, head women's soccer coach Brie Smith enters her fifth season with the program in 2018. To start the 2018 campaign women's soccer will travel to Framingham State for an 11:00 a.m. start.
Volleyball also appeared in the 2017 NEWMAC Quarterfinals, their fifth appearance in the past five years, and head coach Mickey Cahoon returns for his 12th season with the Cougars. Volleyball kicks off 2018 hosting the Worcester City Tournament on September 1st and takes on Husson University and Worcester State University at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the Kneller Athletic Center. Women's soccer welcomes Southern Vermont University to Granger Field for their home opener on September 4th at 7:00 p.m.
Men's Soccer hosts Rivier for their home opener on September 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Granger Field. The team appeared in the NEWMAC Semifinal game in 2017 and head coach Matt O'Toole returns to the sidelines for his seventh season with the Cougars.
Field Hockey opens their home schedule on Saturday, September 8th when they host Western New England at 1:30 p.m. Head Coach Callie Lekas returns for her third season with the program in 2018.
Men's and Women's Cross Country compete in their first meet of the fall season on Saturday, September 8th in the Worcester City Meet hosted at Moore State Park in Paxton, Mass. Women's Tennis heads to Simmons College on the same day for their first match of the 2018-2019 year.
Men's Tennis hosts Saint Michael's College on Sunday, September 16th at 1:00 p.m. and Women's Tennis competes in their home opener on September 24th at 4:00 p.m. with the Bears of Bridgewater State University. Dan Herbst returns for his fourth season with the women's tennis program in 2018 while Cahoon enters his 12th season with the men's tennis team in 2018. Men's tennis also competed in the NEWMAC tournament in the spring of 2018.
