Eschen Named Graduate Assistant

Worcester, Mass. – Former Clark University four-year starter David Eschen has been named a graduate assistant with the baseball program it has been announced by head coach J.P. Pyne.

He will assist in all aspects of the program including, recruiting, practice planning and student-athlete development.

 "I am happy to welcome David to the coaching staff," said Pyne, who returns for his second season in 2017. "His experience as a student-athlete here at Clark makes his insight invaluable."

Eschen was a four-year starter for the Cougars as a first basement (2013-16). In 2016 Eschen set the program record for single season home runs (6), while driving in 35 RBI to go with a .313 batting average. In 117 career games, he posted a .262 batting average with eight home runs and 71 RBI.

He began his coaching career immediately after wrapping up his playing day, serving as a coach with Northeast Baseball during the summer of 2016.

The New York, N.Y. native resides in Worcester.
