Westwood, Mass.—Senior Brendan Kittredge (Clinton, Mass.) of the Clark University men's basketball team was named to the 2018-19 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference Team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday, February 19th. The NEWMAC men's basketball student-athletes totaled 16 honorees this year.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2018 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at his institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
Kittredge served as a 2018-19 team captain and was named a NEWMAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week in week two of the season. He finished the season averaging 12.3 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game.
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference consists of 11 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
