Worcester, MA. – The men's soccer team captured its third win in a row Wednesday evening, when they defeated the Framigham State Rams on the road at Maple Street Field in Framigham, Mass.
-In the opening ten minutes, the Cougars and the Rams traded shots on net, with Melvin Vincent (Rochester, Mass) making a save off the left post to perserve the tie.
-The Rams' Gustavo Cassemiro (Minas Gerais, Brazil) responded in the opening minutes of the second half to tie the score 1-1, after the Cougars committed a foul in the box.
-In the 58th minute, Alex Maiorano (Shrewsbury, Mass) scored off a pass from Jonathan Guilherme (Oxford, Conn) and only moments later in the 60th minute, Munroe got his first goal of the night, when he capitalized off a ball from Charlie Lane (Southborough, Mass).
-The Rams would respond again, cutting the deficit back to one in the 72nd minute when Cassemiro sent a long pass to Bryce Nardizzi (Framingham, Mass).
-Munroe put the game away in the 84th minute with a long strike over the head of Hartshorn.
