Spenser joins the Clark University men’s soccer coaching staff in the Fall of 2018 and will serve as the goalkeepers coach.
Spenser is a 2015 graduate of the University of Rhode Island where he was a goalkeeper for the men’s soccer team for four years. He served as a captain for the Division I Rams in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Spenser was named the Defensive Player of the Year his junior year. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Finance.
After his time at URI Spenser played professionally in England for two years. His first year was spent mostly at Wingate and Finchley in London before he moved to play for Halstead F.C. outside of London. His final year was spent playing for Northwood FC in London where he played in the FA Cup.
Prior to Clark Spenser was the head academy goalkeeper coach for Westchester Armour. In this role he was in charge of the training of all academy goalkeepers, ages 15-19. Spenser also served as the goalkeeper coach for the Rams Football Club from September of 2011 to July of 2015. In this role he acted as the assistant coach for U17 girls, U11 boys, and U18 boy’s teams. He served as the head goalkeeping coach for the entire program during the 2013-2014 season.
