Trinity Outlasts Men's Swimming and Diving

Hartford, Conn.--The Clark University men's swimming and diving team dropped to the Bantams of Trinity College in a non-conference meet on Friday evening at Trinity Natatorium, 189-95.

Clark freshman, Eric Cobert (Newton, Mass.) placed second in the 1000 yard Freestyle in a time of 10:59.62 and later took first place overall in the 200 yard IM clocking in at 2:18.35. Junior Julian Ortega (West Palm Beach, Fla.) took second place in the 200 yard Freestyle with a 1:50.54 finish. He also took second place in the 500 yard Freestlye as he touched the wall in 5:12.92. Junior Dylan Schrama (Taunton, Mass.) finished the 100 yard Butterfly in 55.50 for second place.

Senior Steven Castiglione (North Haven, Conn.) placed first overall in the men's 1 Meter Diving event with a score of 238.80.

Clark's 200 yard Freestyle Relay teams took first and second place. Ortega, Nick Sakoff (New York, New York), Bill Holloman (Avon, Conn.) and Johan Nel (Wayne, Maine) compiled the first place relay that swam the event in 1:36.30

Clark is back home on Wednesday, January 24th when they host city and New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference rival, WPI, at 6:30 p.m.
