Bristol, R.I.—The Clark University men's swimming and diving team finished 4th out of six teams competing in the CCC Invitational at Roger Williams University on Saturday afternoon. Roger Williams came in first place with 242 points on a Saturday morning as they took down Regis, UMass Dartmouth, Clark, University of New England, Western New England, and Gordon.
For RWU, Hunter Olson (Framingham, Mass.) came in first place for four events including the 100-Yard Butterfly (54.61) and the 100-Yard Freestyle. The senior was also a member of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay that touched the wall with a time of 3:20.20 and the 200-Yard Medley Relay that finished with a time of 1:39.82 respectively.
Senior Dylan Schrama (Taunton, Mass.), Sophomore Konstantin Drallios (Astoria, N.Y.), senior Sebastian Ortega (West Palm Beach, Fla.), and senior Julian Ortega (West Palm Beach, Fla.) placed third in the 200-yard medley relay with a 1:46.58 finish.
Drallios placed 10th/25 in the men's 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:56.79. Julian Ortega led the way in the 200-yard IM; his 2:06.12 time was good for a first place finish. He also picked up a 2nd place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 50.45.
Schrama took 6th place in the 100-yard butterfly when he touched the wall in 58.23. Sophomore Eric Cobert (Newton, Mass.) placed in the top ten in the 500-yard freestyle when he finished in 5:20.45 for 8th place.
Clark is back in action in the Worcester City Championship at WPI on Friday, October 26th (6:00 p.m.) and Saturday, October 27th (10:00 a.m.).
