Clark University's Men's Cross Country team finished 50th of 58 teams at Bowdoin College today. The NCAA Division III New England Region Cross Country Championships were won by Amherst College, followed by Williams and Middlebury in second and third. The top NEWMAC finisher was MIT in fourth place as WPI came in 10th place in today's meet.
First-year Cameron Keenan (South Glastonbury, CT) led the way for Clark, coming in 249th individually and finishing with a time of 29:48.46. Senior Cameron Mitchell (Medford, MA) was the next best Cougar today, ending the race in 267th place. Bobby Sharma (Kobe, Hyogo) placed 296th as the Sophomore ran a time of 31:01.12. The last Cougar to add to the team total was Ryan Ewanyk (East Northport, NY) as he came in 299th.
MIT had two top 20 runners on the day, granting them their top 5 team finish. WPI's top four runners all came across the line in the top 75 of the field of over 400. The top individual runner in New England was Senior Sam Brunnette from Plymouth State.
Clark's seniors this season were Mitchell, Benjamin Forman (Glenside, PA), Krishna Raj Naithani (Barrington, RI), and Isaac Stone (Natick, MA). The Cougars complete the 2018-19 season with high accolades individually and as a team.
