Marissa Garrity, a former All-American and New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) player of the year returns for her sixth season as an assistant coach in 2017-18.
Garrity will assist in all aspects of the program, including practice preparation, scouting, student-athlete development and recruiting.
During her illustrious four-year career, Garrity helped lead the Cougars to three NCAA Tournament appearances, three regular season NEWMAC titles and three more NEWMAC Tournament titles and an overall record of 84-30.
Clark had three seasons of 20 wins or more in her four tears and the season in which they didn't achieve 20 wins, they won 19 games and played in the ECAC New England Tournament.
Garrity started all 114 games of her career and was a three-time All-NEWMAC selection, earning player of the year accolades as a senior in 2000. In that same season, she was named second-team All-America, ECAC player of the year after averaging 20.7 points and 6.3 rebounds as the Cougars advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament (Sectional Semifinals).
Despite having graduated more than a decade ago, her career numbers are still splashed all over the Clark record books. She ranks fourth in points (1,607), third in steals (228), sixth in field goals made (615), seventh in three-pointers made (121) and eighth in three-point percentage (31.6), free throws made (256) and rebounds (705).
