Kansas City, MO.—Clark University senior women's soccer captain Macy Golman (Dallas, Texas) earned a spot on the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Association (USCA) NCAA Division III Women's New England Region Third Team.
"This is a great honor for Macy and for our entire program. We have come a long way over the past four years and Macy and her classmates have played an integral role in that progress. Macy is a fantastic defender but more importantly she is an excellent representative of our program. She has worked incredibly hard both on and off the field and she is certainly deserving of this regional recognition," said head women's soccer coach, Brie Smith.
As a defender Golman appeared and started in all 69 career games. She helped lead the Cougars to a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Quarterfinal appearance her junior year and was an integral part of a strongly developed backline over her four years. Golman recorded two career goals and five assists including a pair this season. She was named to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team every year she was eligible and was also named to the 2018 NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team.
Golman will also represented the Clark University women's soccer team at the 2018 New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl on December, 1st.
