New London, Conn.--The Clark University women's swimming and diving team suffered a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) loss to the Bears of Coast Guard Academy on the road on Saturday afternoon.
In the first women's event of the day, the one meter dive, freshman Angela Testa (Worcester, Mass.) scored a season high 151.42 and took second place for Clark.
Allison Dubick (Cornwall, N.Y.), Mira Siewert (Westbrook, Conn.), Quinn Mitchell (West Hartford, Conn.) and Amelia Muratori (Southbury, Conn.) all swam in the women's 200 yard medley relay and earned third place in a season best time of 1:58.94.
Siewert swam the 100 yard breastroke in a season best 1:16.71 for fourth place and later in the meet she earned second place in the 200 yard breastroke with another season best time of 2:48.16. Freshman Alison Falder (New Milford, Conn.) took third place in the 200 yard butterfly as she led clark with a season best 2:22.88 finish. Dubick took third in the 100 yard freestyle touching the wall in 57.70. First year Emma Bulman (Bridgewater, Mass.) led Clark in the 100 yard butterfly as she finished in second place in a season best 1:10.89.
In the final women's event of the day, the 200 yard freestlye relay, Muratori, Dubick, Mitchell, and Charlotte Gray (Sandy Hook, Conn.) placed second and finished the relay in 1:45.55.
The Cougars travel to Brandeis University on February 3rd for a 1:00 p.m. meet.
