Rebecca Kravetz a former two-time team captain, was named to her current position of assistant coach in August 2016 after a four-year career with the Cougar program.

She will assist in all aspects of the program including recruiting, practice preparation and student-athlete development.

During her four years as a member of the women’s tennis program, Kravetz recorded 12 singles victories and added 15 more while playing doubles. 2015-16 proved to be a breakout year for not only Kravetz but the program as well, as the Cougars won a school-record ten matches and it was Kravetz who sealed the record-setting win with the final victory of her career.

A three-time New England Women’s And Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference selection (2013, 2014 and 2015), Kravetz earned Dean’s List First Honors in all eight of her semesters and was inducted into the University’s Phi Beta Kappa chapter.

At the annual athletics awards ceremony, Kravetz scooped up the John and Kay Bassett Scholar Student-Athlete award, given annually to the senior four-year participant who has the highest overall grade point average. In addition to that honor, she also received the Senior Class Award, given to the student-athlete of the graduating class that defines class, sportsmanship, integrity, leadership and support for other programs.

Kravetz was a summa cum laude 2016 Clark University graduate with a degree in psychology and a minor in education.
