WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University rowing team saw its Novice 8 take home a victory on Saturday morning at the Head of the Snake on Lake Quinsigamond.

How it Happened

• The Cougars Novice 8 squad of Eleanor Workman, Charlotte Leavitt, Lily Chappell, Morgan McKeen, Anna Cavanagh, Katie Woods, Margaret Mathews, Julia Kaiser, and Sam Quesnel recorded a first-place finish with a mark of 18:20.932, with finishes higher than Smith, UVM, and URI.
• Clark's V8 of senior Apple Gould-Schultz, graduate student Madison Hincher, senior Josephine Fitzgerald, graduate student Cate Brown, senior Charlotte Bedford, junior Robbie Southall, senior Emma McLellan, junior Mia Franks, and junior Gwyn Sonneveldt finished fourth overall with a time of 15:37.01, which was just behind WPI and ahead of Holy Cross and Smith.
• The Cougars Collegiate 2x of graduate students Madeline Regenye and Lily Bufalino placed second with a time of 21:14.594.
• Clark also had junior Julia Kennedy, senior Megan Hill, sophomore Anna Tinklenberg, senior Tessa Allan, junior Sydney Gruneiro, sophomore Isabel Gustavsson, graduate student Lily Bufalino, junior Matt O'Connell-Vale, and sophomore Brianna Bodner posted a time of 18:17.464.

Clark will compete again next week on Sunday at the legendary Head of the Charles along the Charles River.
