Men's Tennis Edged in Fall Finale at Nichols

DUDLEY, Mass. – The Clark men's tennis team (4-2) ended the fall season with a road match at Nichols (1-3) and fell 6-3 to the Bison on Wednesday afternoon from the Robinson Tennis Courts.

How it Happened
  • Sophomore Edward Shepherd-Johnson and first-year Aris Krikorian battled with De Vet and Zeis in number one doubles and came away with a thrilling 8-7 win.
  • Junior Adham Seraj and junior Ryan Hovey earned seven games in number three play, but fell 8-7.
  • In number two doubles, senior Tanner Honnef and junior Graham Russo won two games, before dropping the set 8-2.
  • Kirkorian also clinched a victory in number two singles with a 6-5 win in the first set, fell 6-5 in the second, and won the third superset 10-6.
  • After falling 6-0 in the first set, junior Aidan Hurtado bounced back with 7-5 and 10-6 wins over the final two sets.
  • Shepherd-Johnson took the first set 6-3, but dropped the final two sets 6-1, 6-3 in number one play.
  • Honnef fell 6-2, 7-5 in his number three singles and Russo was edged 6-1, 6-2 in number four singles.
  • In number five singles, Hovey dropped his match 6-2, 7-5.
What's Next
Clark will return to the court in the Spring.
