SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Clark University rowing team opened the 2023 portion of their season from the San Diego Crew Classic and the V8 came away with a win on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• Clark's V8 of senior Apple Gould-Schultz, graduate student Madison Hincher, graduate student Cate Brown, senior Josephine Fitzgerald, senior Charlotte Bedford, senior Rose Delogu, senior Emma McLellan, junior Mia Franks, and sophomore Anna Tinklenberg earned a victory in the Women's Grace Rett Memorial Collegiate V8 heat as they posted a time of 7:24.880.
• The V8 beat out Trinity, UC Santa Barbara "A" and "B", and Colorado.
• The 2V8 of sophomore Mira Mills, sophomore Morgan McKeen, junior Robbie Southall, sophomore Brianna Bodner, senior Megan Hill, sophomore Katie Woods, junior Gwyn Sonneveldt, sophomore Lily Chappell, and first-year Anna Cavanagh placed fourth in their heat with a mark of 7:46.278.

What's Next

The Cougars will return to the water tomorrow as the V8 will compete at 1:49 p.m. and the 2V8 at 2:57 p.m. from the San Diego Rowing Classic.
