WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Emma McLellan and senior Charlotte Bedford earned a spot on the All-NEWMAC Second Team as the Clark University rowing team competed in the 2023 NEWMAC Championships on Saturday morning from Lake Quinsigamond.

How it Happened

• Clark's V8 of senior Apple Gould-Schultz, senior Charlotte Bedford, graduate student Cate Brown, senior Josephine Fitzgerald, graduate student Madison Hincher, senior Emma McLellan, senior Rose Delogu, sophomore Anna Tinklenberg, and junior Mia Franks placed fifth in the varsity eight final with a mark of 6:56.66, which was just behind Coast Guard and ahead of Mount Holyoke and Simmons.
• The 2V8 of sophomore Mira Mills, sophomore Morgan McKeen, junior Robbie Southall, sophomore Brianna Bodner, senior Megan Hill, sophomore Katie Woods, sophomore Lily Chappell, junior Gwyn Sonneveldt, and first-year Anna Cavanagh finished fourth with a time of 7:09.7, which was behind Smith by three seconds and ahead of Coast Guard and Mount Holyoke.
• The 3V8 consisted of first-year Eleanor Workman, senior Tessa Allan, graduate student Lily Bufalino, first-year Margaret Mathews, sophomore Hawa Zuo, first-year Amelia Clark, graduate student Madeline Regenye, sophomore Isabel Gustavsson, and first-year Julia Kaiser placed fifth in the final with a mark of 7:50.74, which was ahead of Mount Holyoke and behind Coast Guard.

The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday when they compete at the New England Rowing Championships from Lake Quinsigamond.
