WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University rowing team competed in the 2023 New England Rowing Championship on Saturday morning from Lake Quinsigamond and finished second overall in the third final in the afternoon.

How it Happened

• Clark's V8 of senior Apple Gould-Schultz, senior Charlotte Bedford, graduate student Cate Brown, junior Gwyn Sonneveldt, senior Emma McLellan, sophomore Katie Woods, senior Rose Delogu, sophomore Anna Tinklenberg, and junior Mia Franks finished fifth in the second heat with a time of 6:58.350, which was just behind Coast Guard and ahead of Mount Holyoke and Assumption.
• The V8 later competed in the third final later in the day and placed second, just behind Trinity and ahead of Middlebury, Mount Holyoke, Conn. College, and Colby with a mark of 6:48.000, which was over 10 seconds faster than their time in the heat.

What's Next

Clark will close out their season with a race at the National Invitational Rowing Championship from Lake Quinsigamond.
