WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University rowing team competed in their second regatta of the season against Mount Holyoke, Washington College, Conn. College, Simmons, Rochester, Williams, and WPI and came away with a V8 heat victory.

How it Happened

• The Cougars V8 of Apple Gould-Schultz, Gwyn Sonneveldt, Emma McLellan, Anna Tinklenberg, Robbie Southall, Katie Woods, Danielle Chace, Charlotte Leavitt, and Margaret Mathews opened the day with a first-place finish in their heat with a time of 7:46.69 and later improved their pace by 13 seconds, placing third in the grand final with a mark of 7:33.58.
• Clark's 2V8 of Mira Mills, Gwyn Sonneveldt, Anna Cavanagh, Brianna Bodner, Lucy Powdermaker, Julia Kaiser, Abigale Luetjen, Sydney Gruneiro, Victoria Weirich-Freiberg, and Carmella Martone finished third with a time of 7:55.58.
• The 3V8 of Audrey Saben, Isabel Gustavsson, Lindsey Wilder, Jordan Cambre, Julia Bosco, Amelia Clark, Josephine Fitzgerald, Sara Parvin, and Anastazia Salazar recorded a mark of 8:57.93 to place fifth.

Clark will return to the water tomorrow morning when they compete against Bates/Trinity/Washington College/Hamilton/RIT/Wellesley/WPI at 8:30 a.m. from Lake Quinsigamond.
