WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University rowing team competed in the 2024 NEWMAC Championships on Saturday morning from Lake Quinsigamond and finished fifth overall.

Juniors Anna Tinklenberg and Katie Woods earned a spot on the Second Team All-NEWMAC.  

How it Happened

• The Cougars V8 of Apple Gould-Schultz, Margaret Mathews, Charlotte Leavitt, Danielle Chace, Anna Tinklenberg, Emma McLellan, Katie Woods, Robbie Southall, and Gwyn Sonneveldt finished fifth in the finals with a time of 7:27.54, just behind Coast Guard and ahead of Mount Holyoke and Simmons.
• Clark's 2V8 of Mira Mills, Anna Cavanagh, Julia Kaiser, Brianna Bodner, Lucy Powdermaker, Sydney Gruneiro, Abigale Luetjen, Carmella Martone, and Victoria Weirich-Freiberg also placed fifth in the final with a mark of 7:48.43, which was over 13 seconds better than Mount Holyoke.
• In the 3V8, Audrey Saben, Jordan Cambre, Josephine Fitzgerald, Isabel Gustavsson, Julia Bosco, Amelia Clark, Lindsey Wilder, Sara Parvin, and Anastazia Salazar finished fifth with a time of 8:40.78.

What's Next
Clark will be back in action on Saturday when they compete at the 2024 New England Rowing Championships from Lake Quinsigamond beginning at 8:00 a.m.
