WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University rowing team opened the 2024 portion of their season on Saturday morning as they competed against Wesleyan, WPI, Smith, Hamilton, Conn. College, and Colby from Lake Quinsigamond.

How it Happened

• The Cougars V8 of Apple Gould-Schultz, Emma McLellan, Anna Tinklenberg, Robbie Southall, Katie Woods, Anna Cavanagh, Brianna Bodner, Margaret Mathews, and Charlotte Leavitt placed second in their first heat of the spring with a mark of 7:15.13 and later finished fifth in the grand final with a time of 6:55.48.
• Clark's 2V8 of Mira Mills, Gwyn Sonneveldt, Danielle Chace, Julia Kaiser, Lucy Powdermaker, Sydney Gruneiro, Abigale Luetjen, Carmella Martone, and Victoria Weirich-Freiberg opened the morning with a time of 7:15.41 to finish second in their heat and in the grand final, the boat placed fifth with a mark of 7:07.28.

What's Next
Clark will be back on the water on Saturday, April 13 when they host Mount Holyoke/Conn. College/Washington College/Simmons/Rochester/Williams/WPI beginning at 8:00 a.m. from Lake Quinsigamond.
