MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – The NEWMAC announced their Fall Sportsmanship honorees and six Clark University student-athletes earned the conference recognition as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.
NEWMAC Sportsmanship Teams
The six members from Clark include field hockey junior
Cassidy Cloutier, men's cross country sophomore
Summit Smoker, men's soccer senior
Ben Siegel, volleyball junior
Winifred Gakidis, women's cross country senior
Emmy Udry, and women's soccer senior
Emma Shaughnessy.
The NEWMAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport, who best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season.
The honorees, selected by their respective coaching staffs, have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior that go above and beyond the sport's playing rules and etiquette.
