BABSON PARK, Mass. – The No. 4 Clark University men's tennis team (14-6) traveled to No. 1 Babson (17-4) for the NEWMAC Semifinals and were bested 4-0 by the Beavers on Friday afternoon from the Babson Tennis Courts.

This marked the third straight season that the Cougars reached the NEWMAC Semifinals.  

How it Happened
Doubles: Babson 2, Clark 0

• In number three action first-years Boge Liu and Ved Rao fell 0-6 to Louis Bourn and Max Lidman.
• Junior Aris Kirkorian and sophomore Ziad Tabbara won three games against Sebastian Mendoza and Edward Wang, but dropped their match 3-6.
• Seniors Graham Russo and Edward Shepherd-Johnson were tied at 5-5 in number one doubles against Alexander Merson and Maxim Zlobinsky before the Beavers clinched the doubles point

Singles: Babson 3, Clark 0

• Sophomore Ethan Montane was bested 0-6, 0-6 by Lidman in number six action.
• Liu won a game in the second set, but dropped the match 0-6, 1-6 in number five against Sourish Gadhi.
• Wang clinched the match for the Beavers in number two play as he took down Tabbara 6-0, 6-1.
• Unfinished Matches: No. 1 Shepherd Johnson vs. Merson: 2-6, 3-2
• No. 3 Kirkorian vs. Zlobinsky: 7-6 (8-6), 2-1
• No. 4 Russo vs. Mendoza: 5-7, 2-1
