He graduated with a Bachelor’s in History from Northwestern and brings a strong enthusiasm and passion for the game of baseball to Clark. As a player, Benneche made pitching appearances in 53 games over 4 years, starting 32, compiling over 200 total innings at the Division I level. In his time at Northwestern in 2023 and 2024, Benneche played for coaches Ben Greenspan, Jim Foster, MLB pitcher and World Series Champion Dennis Cook, and MLB outfielder and World Series Champion Brian Anderson. Benneche pitched in the Cape Cod Baseball League in the summer of 2022 for the Wareham Gatemen and Harwich Mariners. He began his playing career at Lafayette College (Patriot League), where he is ranked 5th all-time in single-season strikeouts (73, 2022), just ahead of MLB pitchers David Bednar and Jake Bloss. Benneche transferred to Northwestern University (B1G) where he threw over 100 innings for the Wildcats over two seasons.
