Camels Push Past Cougars, 3-1

New London, Conn. – Host Connecticut College improved their record to 12-4 with a 3-1 win over Clark University Wednesday night in non-league women's volleyball action. 

The game scores were 21-25, 25-19, 25-16 and 25-14 in favor of the Camels, who have won four of their last five games.

Junior right side Rachel Schroff buried 17 kills and added eight digs with just one hitting error to lead Connecticut College, while senior Amy Newman chipped in with 10 kills and five digs in the triumph.

Katie Ketcham dished out 39 assists for the winning side to eclipse the 500 assist mark for the season.

The Cougars were paced by Parker Edmonds (Fort Worth, Texas) who registered nine kills, while Amira Tranchell (Falmouth, Mass.) chipped in with eight of her own.

Nichole Lopez (Alameda, Calif.) tallied a season-high 21 digs and Kortney Kelley (Barnstable, Mass.) added 16 digs for Clark, who dipped to 5-10 with the loss.

The Cougars will continue their tour of NESCAC opponents when they take part in a tri-match on Saturday that features host Wesleyan and Trinity.
