Freshmen Lead Way At Plansky Invitational

Worcester, Mass. – Led by freshmen Kristen Glennie (Standish, Maine) and Autumn Perez (Watervliet, N.Y.) the Clark University women's cross country squad churned out a fifth place finish at the Plansky Invitational hosted by Williams College on Saturday afternoon at Mount Greylock High.

Glennie turned in another top ten performance, this time finishing in eighth place in a time of 20:40 over the 5K layout.

She was followed by Perez, who completed the course 22:16. Right on her heels was Saraneh Fitzgerald (Norfolk, Mass.), collecting a 25 th place finish in 22:29.

Erin Glennie (Standish, Maine) and Yaffa Fain (Hamden, Conn.) were the final two scoring runners for the Cougars as they completed the race in 27th and 33rd places, respectively.

Clark is next in action on Saturday when they take part in the NEWMAC Championships on the Smith College campus.
