NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Clark University women's cross country traveled to Smith College for the Ellen O'Neil Invitational. Four runners competed for the Cougars, with first-year Rebecca Machado being the first to cross the finish line in the 6K race. 

How it Happened 

• Machado was the first finisher with a time of 26:40.4. Good for an 18th place finish in the field of 45 runners. 

• Fellow first-year Eliana Olkin crossed just under two minutes later at 28:24.1. It was the first 6K race for each of the first-year runners. 

• Junior Antonia Schneider (31:52.1) and senior Lily Vincent (32:03.7) crossed together to finish out the race for Clark.

The Scarlet and White travel to Pennsylvania on Friday, October 2nd, for the Paul Short Run.
