Worcester, Mass. – Both Natalie Omary (New York, N.Y.) and Karina Urquhart (Sanford, Maine) each posted program top ten performances and the Clark University women's swimming and diving finished in eighth place at the Gompei Invitational hosted by WPI over the weekend.

The event which featured several strong teams from all around New England, is a primer for the upcoming New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships which will take place in the middle of February at the same facility.

Omary took top honors in the "C" Final of the 200-yard breaststroke, turning in a time of 2:38.59. That time is the fourth fastest time in school history – nearly a full second faster than the fifth fastest time, which she also owns.

Urquhart, meanwhile, advanced to the "A" in the 400-yard individual medley where she finished eighth in a time of 4:58.50 – a time that etches her name into the ninth-fastest time in that event in school history.

Melissa Orzechowski (Windsor, Conn.) had a strong performance in the 1,650-yard freestyle, touching the wall in the fifth spot in a time of 18:12.03.

On the diving board, Breanna Tucker (Temecula, Calif.) fared well, finishing third on the one-meter (375.45) board and fourth on the 3-meter. Her score on the three-meter (394.00) is the fourth-highest score in school history, giving her two of the top four scores.

Clark is off until they take their annual training trip to Puerto Rico later this month.
