Paxton, Mass. – Freshman Kristen Glennie (Standish, Maine) turned in the best performance of her collegiate career, running to a fifth place finish at the Worcester City Championships on Saturday morning at Moore State Park.
Glennie posted a time of 20:39 over the 5K course – just two seconds off of the program record for the fastest time ever on the course.
Classmate Autumn Perez (Watervliet, N.Y.) was the second Cougar to finish, earning a 17th place showing in 22:13. She was followed by Saraneh Fitzgerald (Norfolk, Mass.) in 20th place in 20:37, while Erin Glennie (Standish, Maine) was next up for the Scarlet and White with a time of 23:24, good for 21st.
Another freshman – Lauren Dube (Windsor, Conn.) – completed the scoring contingent for Clark with a 28 th place effort in 23:57.
The Scarlet and White will now have a week off until returning to the course on Saturday, October 11 when they take part in the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State.
