Leicester, Mass. - Kaylin Mulrooney (Somerset, Mass.) scored twice in the first 1:35 of the game and visiting Clark University never looked back, rolling to a decisive 8-0 win over Worcester-area rival Becker College in non-league field hockey action on Saturday morning on Alumni Field.

In addition to Mulrooney's career day, seniors Kelly Hart (Oak Park, Ill.) and Kiah Murphy (Westport, Mass.) each had a goal and an assist as the Cougars improved to 2-0 this season.

In those two contests, Clark has outscored their opponents 14-0 and outshot them 57-4.

After Mulrooney put the Scarlet and White ahead with her two quick strikes, Hart and Murphy banged home their respective markers and then the Cougars added two more – one each from Madison Boardman (Cornish, N.H.) and Isabelle Zoeckler (Madison, Conn.) to make the score 6-0 at halftime.

Midway through the second half, Murphy setup Boardman for her second of the contest and in the waning moments of the contest Maria Manning (Manchester, N.H.) converted a penalty stroke to give the visitors their final scoring tally. 

Clark netminder Christine Tinsman (Prairie Village, Kan.) needed to make just two saves to earn the win, while Hawks goalkeeper Gabrielle Gallo (Northport, N.Y.) who was peppered with shots all morning, collected 18 stops.

Both teams return to action on Tuesday, September 9 when Becker travels to Anna Maria at 4:30 p.m. and Clark heads to Nichols College at 7:00 p.m.
