Wheaton Blanks Clark, 7-0

Norton, Mass. – Seven different players found the back of the net and host Wheaton recorded a 7-0 win over Clark University in New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

The win for the Lyons is their fourth straight over the Cougars dating back to the 2011 season. Wheaton improves to 12-5-1 overall and 5-2-1 in conference contests. Clark, meanwhile, have now dropped nine straight to slip to 2-12-1.

Julia Cipriano led the Wheaton attack with a goal and three assists in the first half as the Lyons led 4-0 at intermission.

They went on to score three second half markers, including the final one with just 53 seconds remaining.

Wheaton held a 19-13 advantage in shots and a 10-4 edge in corner kicks.

Gabby Paolini (North Potomac, Md.) made four saves in net for the Scarlet and White.

Clark returns to action on Tuesday when they travel down the road to face WPI at 7:00 p.m.
