Box Score

Middletown, Conn. – Senior Tyler Huffman (West Hartford, Conn.) pumped in a career-high 30 points but Clark University couldn't slow down a hot-shooting Endicott squad as the Gulls pulled away for an 88-72 win over the Cougars in the second game of the Herb Kenny Tip-Off Classic hosted by Wesleyan University.

Now at 1-2 on the season the Scarlet and White will face off with the host Cardinals (0-1) in Saturday's consolation game slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.

Worcester native Kamahl Walker (Worcester, Mass.) has arguably been the most impressive player in New England in the first three games this season. In his last outing he erupted for 47 points in a loss at Keene State. In the meeting with Clark, he totaled 29 points on an impressive 11-for-14 shooting performance and through three games this season is averaging 32.7 points per game on 57 percent shooting.

The Cougars found themselves down 37-33 at the half and then the Gulls exploded for 51 second half points as Walker scored 18 of his points in his 16 second half minutes of action.

Overall, Endicott shot a sizzling 58 percent from the field and held a 41-30 edge on the glass.

Huffman, meanwhile, set a new career-high for the second time in three games with his offensive display against Endicott. Through his first three games, he is averaging 24.7 points per game and has already connected on 12 three-pointers.

In addition to Walker, three other Gulls reached double figures, including Max Montroni, who finished with 19 points, five rebounds and six assists.
