Cougars Complete Day One Of NEWMAC Championships

Worcester, Mass. – With just a few events taking place on the opening night of action at the 2015 New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) swimming and diving championships, the Clark University women find themselves in ninth place with 34 points after just one event.

The Cougar foursome of Melissa Orzechowski (Windsor, Conn.), Karina Urquhart (Sanford, Maine), Lydia Berry (Kennebunk, Maine) and Nikki Lew (Auburndale, Mass.) finished in eight place in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 8:01.53.

Another relay contingent of Gina Kelley (Southington, Conn.), Becca Miller (Chelmsford, Mass.), Hannah Reich (Danvers, Mass.) and Madi Carleton (Woodbury, Conn.) turned in a time of 8:50.41 to give the Scarlet and White four more points to their first day total.

Two more sessions take place on Friday beginning with the morning session at 10:00 a.m.
