Worcester, Mass. – Kristen Glennie (Standish, Maine) and Maddy Doyle (Berwick, Maine) both posted top ten performances and the Clark University women's cross country team recorded a third place team finish at the Worcester City Championships on Saturday morning at Moore State Park.
Glennie was the Scarlet and White's top finisher, registering a ninth place showing in 20:24.7 over the 5K course layout.
Doyle was right on her heels in 20:24.8 good for tenth place – the third overall freshman to finish the course.
Another Clark first-year – Liza French (Middleborough, Mass.) – was one minute behind her two teammates wrapping up the event in 21:24.8, good for 17th.
Two more underclassmen Rachel Donnelly-Cokinos (Monsey, N.Y.) and Diana Argiles-Castillo (San Jose, Costa Rica) were Clark's other two scoring runners. Donnelly-Cokinos was 26th overall in 21:57 and Argiles-Castillo crossed the line in 33rd place in a time of 22:41.
Clark is off until Columbus Day weekend when they take part in the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State.
