Dudley, Mass. – Kara Fischer (Belmont, Mass.) and Nikki Feinberg (San Antonio, Texas) scored goals less than four minutes apart midway through the second half and visiting Clark University rallied to knock off Nichols College, 2-1, in non-league women's soccer action on Thursday afternoon.

The Cougars, who were playing their second game in less than 48 hours, evens its record at 1-1-0, while the Bison drop their home opener (0-1) for the sixth consecutive season.

Nichols got on the board late in the first half when Meghan Dunn (Dudley, Mass.) broke free on the right side and blasted a shot over Gabby Paolini (North Potomac, Md.) for a 1-0 lead at 41:03.

Clark got the equalizing goal in the 62nd minute when Fischer beat Nichols goalkeeper Kelly English (Mansfield, Mass.) to a loose ball, then dribbled around her and fired a shot into the open net for her third career marker.

Momentum remained on the side of the Scarlet and White a few minutes later when Feinberg found herself behind the defense along the right sideline and was cutting in towards the goal when she was taken down along the goal line and awarded a penalty kick. Feinberg sent a low shot into the left corner just out of the reach of English, giving Clark the 2-1 lead and eventual victory.

The Cougars held advantages in both shots (18-11) and corner kicks (8-1).

Paolini needed to only make four saves to help the Cougars secure the win – moving her to within three saves of Joanna Clark for fourth on the school's all-time saves list.

There is no rest for the Scarlet and White as they return home to face Framingham State on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
