Keene, N.H. – Host Keene State had eight of the top ten finishers – including the top four and the Owls outdistanced Clark University, 47-16, in a dual meet on Friday afternoon on the Keene campus.
The two-mile course layout proved to be no trouble for the Owls, who saw senior Samantha Goldsmith lay claim to the individual crown with her time of 11:34.8.
Teammates Carli Davis (11:34.0), Lindsay Szuch (11:56.4) and Molly Schaeffer (12:04.2) all finished in the top four before Kristen Glennie (Standish, Maine) was the first Cougar to complete the course, recording a time of 12:22.5, good for fifth place overall.
Three more Owls crossed the finish line before another Clark runner - this time freshman Maddy Doyle (South Berwick, Maine) – who was the race's top freshman finisher in a time of 12:47.3.
Clark is now off until next Saturday when they travel to Smith College for the Pioneers annual invitational.
