Cross Country Races at NCAA New England Championships

Gorham, Maine--The Clark University Men's and Women's Cross Country team raced at the NCAA New England Championships in Gorham, Maine on Saturday morning. The men placed 37th overall while the women finished 28th overall to close out the 2017 campaign.

Ryan VanDine (Bolton, Conn.) crossed first for the Cougars finishing the 8K in a season best time of 28:34. Senior Alex Hull (Mount Laurel, N.J.) finished just behind him in a time of 28:57.2. Classmate, Cameron Mitchell (Medford, Mass.) rounded out the top three for the men's cross country team crossing at 30:01.2.

The women's cross country team finished with a team score in the top 50 percent of the 56 NCAA New England Division III teams represented at the race. Liza French (Middleborough, Mass.) checked in first for Clark finishing the 6K in a time of 23:43.5. This was French's first top finish for Clark this season. Sophomore Nicolina Braccio (Nashua, N.H.) finished next for Clark in a time 24:10.1. She was trailed by senior Kristen Glennie (Standish, Maine) who crossed in a season best (6K) time of 24:14.2.
