BRUNSWICK, Maine. – The Clark University women's cross country team competed at the NCAA Division III New England Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon with the Cougars finishing 44th amongst the 54 teams competing on the 6k layout on the campus of Bowdoin College.
The Cougars were led by junior captain Meghan Davinroy (Louisville, Colo.) who posted a 175th place finish out of 380 participants with her time of 24:38.57. Senior co-captain Nicolina Braccio (Nashua, N.H.) followed with her time of 26:16.30 for a 257-place finish.
First-year Alexis Stone (Holden, Mass.) put forth a strong showing at her first NCAA regional, posting a time of 26:31.78 for a 268-place mark. Kathryn Rivard-Lentz (East Hampton, Conn.) and Emily Michelfelder (Loveland, Ohio) raced to respective times of 26:44.57 and 27:00.87 to finish nine spots from one another.
Junior Lia Scala (Waterford, Conn.) and senior Lucy Zachau (Freeport, N.Y.) rounded out the Cougars participants at the regional, clocking in with respective times of 27:47.40 and 28:55.99.
