Cougars Fall to Brandeis at Home

THE BASICS

-Score: Clark University 0, Brandeis 2

- The Lead: Cougars fell to Brandeis at home acquiring their first loss of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-The first half went without any goals but saw a combined 5 shots on goal by the two squads.

-Brandeis was able to find the net first when freshman Jessica Herman (Plantation, Fla.) took a shot from outside the box and deflected off a defender to slip past outstretched hand of Cougar goalie Morgan Small Quakertown, Penn). The goal was assisted by senior Katie Hayes (Eau Claire, Wisc.).

-Brandeis scored again just before the 78th minute in the second half when freshman Jessica Herman (Plantation, Fla.) shot high over the head of Small. The goal came unassisted.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

-The Cougars were out shot by a margin of 13-8 with 2 shots coming in the first half and 6 in the second half.

-The Cougars allowed 8 corner kicks while the Judges were able to keep the Cougars without any.

-Sophomore goalie Morgan Small Quakertown, Penn) ended the night with five saves.

UP NEXT

- Both the Cougars and the Judges return to action on Saturday, September 14. The Cougars will travel to Endicott for a 4:30 PM kickoff. The Judges will host Babson for a 1 PM kickoff.
